Courier Pick-Up Service

Tissue specimens can be submitted to us via courier pick-up service at no additional charge. We offer this service for veterinary clinics in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Quad Cities, Waterloo and Dubuque area.

Once the pick-up has been requested, the courier will pick up the sample the following day.

Tissue specimens can be mailed to us from any location within United States of America and Canada.
Tissues in paraffin blocks can be mailed to us from all over the world.

General information on tissue processing, labeling and packaging

1. Prior to shipping tissues for histopathology evaluation, please make sure the tissue specimens are properly processed, labeled and packaged
2. Tissue processing involves tissue fixation in formalin
3. Tissue labeling provides detailed information about patient on submission form and container label
4. Packaging involves procedures for safe and fast tissue shipping (for mail-in tissues), or pick-up (for courier pick-up tissues)
5. Packaging step slightly differs depending if the samples are mailed-in, or picked-up by our courier. Please, see slide 19 in Power Point Presentation provided below for detailed explanation
